The Swine Clinic Bern of the Vetsuisse Faculty is a forward-looking university institution dedicated to teaching, research, and service in the field of porcine health management. Our main missions are the education and training of veterinarians in swine medicine, as well as research in the area of population medicine at both national and international levels.

At the Bern site, we provide modern infrastructure for the clinical training of students on individual animals, as well as a state-of-the-art clinic area for receiving and treating patients from hobby pig holdings. A large part of our teaching, training, research, and service activities takes place not only at the clinic but also on surrounding farms, in close collaboration with practicing veterinarians and animal health services.
